PUTRAJAYA: Malaysia mengecam sekeras-kerasnya tindakan provokasi oleh pemimpin Stram Kurs, Rasmus Paludan yang membakar senaskhah al-Quran di Linkoping, Sweden.
Kementerian Luar (Wisma Putra) dalam satu kenyataan pada Ahad menyifatkan tindakan itu melangkaui batas dan norma hak kebebasan bersuara.
“Tindakan itu merupakan suatu usaha provokasi dan menghasut kebencian yang mesti ditolak semua pihak yang inginkan keamanan dan hidup bersama dalam budaya damai.
“Malaysia juga menekankan kepentingan menghapuskan semua bentuk keganasan dan kebencian, termasuk Islamofobia.
“Malaysia akan terus bekerjasama rapat dengan komuniti antarabangsa bagi mencegah dan menghapuskan sentimen Islamofobia dan pelampau agama,” menurut kenyataan itu.
Menurut laporan media, pada Khamis pemimpin Denmark dari parti sayap kanan Stram Kurs bertindak membakar senaskah al-Quran di kawasan didiami majoriti penduduk beragama Islam di Sweden.
Paludan dilaporkan melakukan tindakan tersebut di kawasan terbuka di selatan Linkoping dan tidak menghiraukan orang ramai yang membantah perbuatannya itu. –AlHijrah Online
