KUALA LUMPUR: Masjid dan surau di Wilayah Persekutuan diseru berganding bahu bersama-sama kerajaan menangani isu kesihatan mental dalam kalangan rakyat.
Menteri di Jabatan Perdana Menteri (Hal Ehwal Agama) Datuk Dr Mohd Na’im Mokhtar berkata masalah kesihatan mental perlu ditangani secara holistik merangkumi aspek fizikal, mental, sosial dan rohani seiring pembinaan masyarakat MADANI.
“Kita sedia maklum bahawa di negara ini khususnya dalam kalangan wanita juga mempunyai gejala masalah mental dan ini memberi kesan kepada pembinaan masyarakat MADANI.
“Ini kerana pembinaan masyarakat MADANI bermula dari rumah dengan mereka (wanita) berperanan dalam keluarga, seterusnya masyarakat dan akhirnya negara,” katanya pada sidang media selepas melancarkan Program “Thy Me Time @ Masjid” di Masjid Azzubair Ibnul Awwam, Cheras di sini hari ini.
Program “Thy Me Time @ Masjid” diadakan bertujuan mentransformasikan masjid sebagai pusat sokongan kesejahteraan komuniti.
Program itu menawarkan aktiviti sembang santai bersama pakar psikiatri, tausiyah emosi, kumpulan pemulihan emosi atau healing circle, latihan pernafasan dan refleksi berkumpulan serta rangkaian sokongan. –AlHijrah Online
