KUALA LUMPUR: Menteri Pengangkutan Anthony Loke memberi amaran kepada mana-mana pengusaha feri bahawa mereka tidak layak menerima subsidi diesel sekiranya menaikkan kadar tambang khususnya kepada warga tempatan dan pelancong domestik.
Loke menerusi hantaran di Facebook hari ini memaklumkan Kementerian Pengangkutan telah mendapat kelulusan prinsip daripada Kementerian Kewangan pada Jumaat lepas untuk memberi bantuan subsidi diesel kepada pengusaha feri di pulau-pulau utama di seluruh negara termasuk Langkawi mulai 1 Januari tahun depan.
“Saya amat kesal dengan tindakan terburu-buru pengusaha feri Langkawi membuat pengumuman menaikkan kadar tambang feri pada hari ini.
“Adalah lebih baik semua pengusaha menarik balik pengumuman ini serta-merta dan berunding dengan pihak Kementerian Pengangkutan dalam masa terdekat,” menurut hantaran itu.
Terdahulu, media melaporkan harga tiket bagi perkhidmatan feri bagi setiap perjalanan ulang-alik dari Kuala Kedah dan Kuala Perlis ke Langkawi akan dinaikkan antara RM3 dan RM10.50 bermula 1 Januari ini. –AlHijrah Online
