JAKARTA: Seramai 67 jemaah haji Indonesia meninggal dunia di Tanah Suci sehingga hari ke 49 pelaksanaan operasi haji tahun ini, menurut Panitia Penyelenggara Ibadah Haji (PPIH) Indonesia.
Ketua PPIH Arab Saudi, Arsad Hidayat berkata 27 jemaah meninggal dunia semasa pra aktiviti di Arafah, Muzdalifah dan Mina (Armuzna) antara 4 Jun hingga 7 Julai.
Seramai 16 jemaah meninggal semasa di Armuzna antara 8-12 Julai, dan 24 jemaah setelah puncak musim haji dari 13 Julai sehingga semalam, katanya dalam satu kenyataan.
Berbanding tempoh sama pada 2019, seramai 341 jemaah meninggal dunia dengan kuota haji 214,000 jemaah.
Indonesia menerima kuota haji tertinggi di dunia, dengan 100,051 jemaah haji dibenarkan menunaikan haji pada tahun ini, selepas musim haji ditangguhkan dua tahun akibat pandemik COVID-19.
Jumlah jemaah haji yang dibenarkan Arab Saudi tahun ini terhad kepada sejuta jemaah tempatan dan antarabangsa serta terbuka kepada jemaah di bawah 65 tahun yang telah melengkapkan vaksin COVID-19.
Sementara itu, hari ke tujuh proses kepulangan jemaah merekodkan 23,684 jemaah haji tiba di Indonesia setakat semalam, kata jurucakap Kementerian Agama, Wawan Djunaedi.
Mereka terdiri daripada 20,491 jemaah biasa yang diurus kementerian dan 3,193 jemaah haji khusus yang diurus PPIH.
Seramai 29 jemaah dirawat di hospital Arab Saudi, dan 77 jemaah dirawat di klinik kesihatan haji Indonesia di Makkah.–AlHijrah Online
