Hamas menggesa Majlis Keselamatan Pertubuhan Bangsa-Bangsa Bersatu mengambil tindakan segera untuk menghentikan serangan berterusan Israel di Rafah di selatan Semenanjung Gaza.
ISTANBUL: Hamas pada Selasa menggesa Majlis Keselamatan Pertubuhan Bangsa-Bangsa Bersatu mengambil tindakan segera untuk menghentikan serangan berterusan Israel di Rafah di selatan Semenanjung Gaza, lapor Agensi Anadolu.
Dalam satu kenyataan, kumpulan Palestin itu mendesak majlis berkenaan “untuk memenuhi tanggungjawab undang-undang dan moralnya susulan pengabaian Israel terhadap keputusan Mahkamah Keadilan Antarabangsa.”
Mahkamah yang berpusat di The Hague pada minggu lepas mengarahkan Israel segera menghentikan operasi ketenteraannya di Rafah, menempatkan lebih sejuta rakyat Palestin yang mencari perlindungan daripada perang sebelum ia diserang pada 6 Mei.
Hamas memberi amaran bahawa serangan Israel di Rafah berisiko menyebabkan genosid di bandar kecil itu.
Kereta kebal Israel tiba di pusat bandar Rafah pada Selasa di tengah-tengah serangan darat ke atas bandar itu.
Hampir 36,100 rakyat Palestin telah terbunuh dan lebih 81,000 cedera dalam serangan Israel sejak perang bermula lebih tujuh bulan lepas. –AlHijrah Online
