Siasatan awal polis mendapati suspek melepaskan tembakan di sebuah pusat beli-belah di Setia Alam, Selangor malam tadi, dipercayai akibat berang ditegur pekerja pembersihan supaya mengalihkan barang yang diletakkan di kawasan kejadian.

Pengarah Jabatan Siasatan Jenayah Bukit Aman Datuk Seri Mohd Shuhaily Mohd Zain berkata ketika kejadian, suspek seorang lelaki tempatan berusia lingkungan 30-an itu juga disyaki berada di bawah pengaruh dadah.
“Bagaimanapun, motif sebenar tiada (dikenal pasti) lagi,” katanya ketika ditemui pemberita selepas mengiringi Menteri Komunikasi Fahmi Fadzil hadir ke Majlis Perasmian dan Pelancaran Perayaan 60 Tahun Silat Cekak Pusaka Hanafi di Wisma Radio RTM hari ini.
Mohd Shuhaily berkata demikian ketika ditanya mengenai perkembangan siasatan kejadian tembakan di sebuah pusat beli-belah di Setia Alam pada 10.50 malam semalam, yang menyebabkan seorang pekerja pembersihan cedera.
Beliau berkata siasatan lanjut dan usaha mengesan suspek sedang giat dilakukan polis Selangor dengan bantuan Bukit Aman dan beliau yakin kes berkenaan dapat selesaikan dalam masa terdekat.
Ketua Polis Selangor Datuk Hussein Omar Khan hari ini dilaporkan berkata suspek yang sedang diburu merupakan seorang lelaki warga tempatan berumur 30-an, berkulit cerah dan mempunyai 11 rekod lampau berkaitan dadah dan jenayah.
Kes disiasat di bawah Seksyen 3 Akta Senjata Api (Penalti Lebih Berat) 1971 dan Seksyen 307 Kanun Keseksaan.–AlHijrah Online
