KUALA LUMPUR: Kes COVID-19 bagi Minggu Epidemiologi ke-51 (ME51) iaitu bagi tempoh 17 hingga 22 Dis meningkat kepada 22,413 kes berbanding 17,307 kes direkodkan pada minggu sebelumnya.
Menteri Kesihatan Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad berkata peningkatan yang dicatatkan pada ME51 berbanding ME50 adalah sebanyak 29.5 peratus.
“Pada tempoh sama juga, jumlah kes kematian COVID-19 dilaporkan berkurangan 23.1 peratus iaitu daripada 26 kepada 20 kes kematian,” katanya menerusi kenyataan hari ini.
Dzulkefly berkata secara keseluruhan, jumlah kemasukan pesakit COVID-19 ke fasiliti kesihatan pada ME50 berbanding ME49 iaitu pengisian katil bukan kritikal meningkat kepada 1.5 peratus dan pengisian katil Unit Rawatan Rapi (ICU) meningkat kepada 3.6 peratus.
Beliau berkata bagi vaksin COVID-19 pada 22 Dis (semalam), hanya 50 orang menerima dos penggalak pertama manakala 120 orang menerima dos penggalak kedua.
Beliau berkata secara kumulatif sehingga semalam hanya 16,347,130 penduduk Malaysia (50.1 peratus) telah menerima dos penggalak pertama dan hanya 828, 686 penduduk Malaysia (2.5 peratus) menerima dos penggalak kedua.
Menurut Dzulkefly, Kementerian Kesihatan (KKM) terus memantau situasi COVID-19 dan mengambil tindakan segera dan wajar apabila diperlukan.
KKM juga menasihati orang ramai agar mengamalkan penilaian dan kawalan kendiri yang baik termasuk memastikan kebersihan diri bagi mengelak daripada dijangkiti penyakit berjangkit termasuk COVID-19, katanya.
Beliau berkata orang ramai perlu melaksanakan tanggungjawab sivik bagi melindungi bukan sahaja diri sendiri, tetapi ahli keluarga dan seluruh masyarakat terutamanya golongan berisiko tinggi.–AlHijrah Online
