KETUA PENGARAH WHO: HAMPIR TIADA PERKHIDMATAN KESIHATAN DI UTARA GAZA
Ketua Pengarah Pertubuhan Kesihatan Sedunia (WHO), Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, mengumumkan bahawa hampir tiada perkhidmatan kesihatan yang masih berfungsi di utara Gaza, ketika Israel terus menyekat misi bantuan daripada memasuki wilayah itu.
GENEVA: Ketua Pengarah Pertubuhan Kesihatan Sedunia (WHO), Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, mengumumkan bahawa hampir tiada perkhidmatan kesihatan yang masih berfungsi di utara Gaza, ketika Israel terus menyekat misi bantuan daripada memasuki wilayah itu.
Menurut laporan Agensi Berita Palestin (WAFA), Ghebreyesus berkata dua misi WHO ke utara Gaza disekat dan ditolak lagi oleh pendudukan Israel.
“Kami menggesa Israel supaya menghentikan arahan pemindahan dan melindungi hospital,” katanya.
“Utara Gaza hampir tidak mempunyai perkhidmatan kesihatan lagi. Penduduk tiada tempat untuk pergi,” katanya dalam satu hantaran di platform X yang dahulunya dikenali sebagai Twitter.
Beliau turut menggesa Israel untuk memudahkan misi kemanusiaan, sambil menyatakan: “Nyawa bergantung kepada tindakan ini.”
Ketua Pengarah WHO itu juga menyeru Israel untuk berusaha ke arah gencatan senjata. “Semua orang yang terperangkap dalam konflik ini memerlukan keamanan.” –AlHijrah Online
