KUOTA TAMBAHAN HAJI KEPADA MALAYSIA DIJANGKA DIKETAHUI HUJUNG BULAN INI – MOHD NA’IM
Keputusan sama ada Malaysia akan menerima kuota tambahan jemaah haji daripada kerajaan Arab Saudi dijangka diketahui selewat-lewatnya hujung bulan ini, kata Menteri di Jabatan Perdana Menteri (Hal Ehwal Agama) Datuk Dr Mohd Na’im Mokhtar.
KUALA LUMPUR: Keputusan sama ada Malaysia akan menerima kuota tambahan jemaah haji daripada kerajaan Arab Saudi dijangka diketahui selewat-lewatnya hujung bulan ini, kata Menteri di Jabatan Perdana Menteri (Hal Ehwal Agama) Datuk Dr Mohd Na’im Mokhtar.
Beliau berkata setakat ini, pihaknya masih belum menerima sebarang maklum balas daripada Menteri Haji dan Umrah Arab Saudi Dr Tawfig Fawzan Al-Rabiah mengenai perkara berkenaan.
“Berapa banyak (kuota tambahan) kita tak pasti lagi kerana ia bergantung juga kepada polisi yang akan kerajaan Arab Saudi gunakan pada tahun ni.
“Kalau polisi diperketatkan, contohnya kalau tidak mahu jumlah (jemaah haji) yang begitu ramai dalam masjid seperti yang berlaku semasa COVID-19 dulu, maka kuota mungkin terhad,” katanya.
Mohd Na’im berkata demikian kepada pemberita selepas menghadiri Majlis Perasmian Peralihan Penstrukturan Pengurusan Institusi Kemahiran Baitulmal (IKB) di bawah Kolej Profesional Baitulmal Kuala Lumpur (KPBKL) di sini hari ini.
Sebelum ini, Lembaga Tabung Haji (TH) memaklumkan Malaysia telah mengemukakan permohonan rasmi keapda kerajaan Arab Saudi bagi mendapatkan kuota tambahan 10,000 jemaah.
Menurut TH permohonan itu dibuat Mohd Na’im semasa mengadakan kunjungan hormat ke atas Dr Tawfig di Jeddah pada Januari lepas.
Bagi musim haji tahun ini, kuota yang telah ditetapkan untuk jemaah Malaysia adalah 31,600 orang. —AlHijrah Online
