Pesuruhjaya Kehakiman Datuk Azhar Abdul Hamid membuat keputusan itu selepas mendapati pihak pendakwaan berjaya membuktikan kes prima facie terhadap Syed Saddiq, 29, di akhir kes pendakwaan.
KUALA LUMPUR: Mahkamah Tinggi di sini hari ini memerintahkan penyandang kerusi Parlimen Muar Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman membela diri atas empat pertuduhan bersubahat melakukan pecah amanah, salah guna harta dan pengubahan wang haram.
Pesuruhjaya Kehakiman Datuk Azhar Abdul Hamid membuat keputusan itu selepas mendapati pihak pendakwaan berjaya membuktikan kes prima facie terhadap Syed Saddiq, 29, di akhir kes pendakwaan.
Presiden MUDA itu didakwa bersubahat dengan Penolong Bendahari Angkatan Bersatu Anak Muda (Armada) Rafiq Hakim Razali (ketika itu) yang diamanahkan dana Armada berjumlah RM1 juta, untuk melakukan pecah amanah dengan menyalahgunakan dana itu di CIMB Bank Berhad, Menara CIMB KL Sentral, Jalan Sentral 2 di sini pada 6 Mac 2020.
Bagi pertuduhan kedua, tertuduh didakwa menyalahgunakan harta untuk diri sendiri iaitu wang RM120,000 daripada akaun Maybank Islamic Berhad milik Armada Bumi Bersatu Enterprise dengan menyebabkan Rafiq Hakim melupuskan wang tersebut di Malayan Banking Berhad, Taman Pandan Jaya di sini antara 8 dan 21 April 2018.
Syed Saddiq juga berdepan dua pertuduhan melibatkan diri dalam aktiviti pengubahan wang haram iaitu memindahkan wang masing-masing RM50,000 dalam akaun Maybank Islamic Berhad miliknya ke akaun Amanah Saham Bumiputera miliknya, yang dipercayai merupakan hasil aktiviti haram, di sebuah bank di Jalan Persisiran Perling, Taman Perling, Johor Bahru pada 16 dan 19 Jun 2018.-AlHijrah Online
