AKPS GAGALKAN CUBAAN SELUDUP 2,000 KG DAGING BABI DI BUKIT KAYU HITAM
Agensi Kawalan dan Perlindungan Sempadan Malaysia (AKPS) menggagalkan cubaan membawa masuk daging babi jenis karkas seberat 2,000 kilogram (kg) tanpa dokumen import sah di Kompleks Imigresen, Kastam, Kuarantin dan Keselamatan (ICQS) Bukit Kayu Hitam, semalam.
ALOR SETAR: Agensi Kawalan dan Perlindungan Sempadan Malaysia (AKPS) menggagalkan cubaan membawa masuk daging babi jenis karkas seberat 2,000 kilogram (kg) tanpa dokumen import sah di Kompleks Imigresen, Kastam, Kuarantin dan Keselamatan (ICQS) Bukit Kayu Hitam, semalam.
Komander AKPS Bukit Kayu Hitam SAC Mohd Nasarudin M. Nasir berkata pemeriksaan terhadap sebuah kenderaan kargo kira-kira jam 6.30 pagi membawa kepada penemuan muatan tidak sah itu, yang dianggarkan bernilai RM66,000.
“Pengimportan daging babi dari Thailand dilarang sepenuhnya susulan ancaman penyakit African Swine Fever (ASF),” katanya dalam kenyataan hari ini.
Menurutnya, kes disiasat mengikut Seksyen 11(1) Akta Perkhidmatan Kuarantin dan Pemeriksaan Malaysia 2011 (Akta 728 – MAQIS).
Sementara itu, Mohd Nasarudin berkata AKPS pada hari yang sama menolak kemasukan sembilan warga asing di Pintu Masuk Bukit Kayu Hitam atas pelbagai kesalahan imigresen, termasuk tidak dibenarkan masuk melalui laluan darat, disyaki bukan pelancong tulen serta tersenarai dalam senarai syak jabatan.
Menurutnya, tindakan itu dibuat mengikut Akta Imigresen 1959/63 dan kesemua individu terlibat diarahkan berpatah balik melalui Thailand untuk pulang ke negara asal masing-masing.–AlHijrah Online
