ANGKA KEMATIAN DI MAKAM QATTARAT IMAM ALI MENINGKAT
DOHA: Kejadian tanah runtuh di makam Qattarat al-Imam Ali di bandar Karbala, Iraq meragut sekurang-kurangnya tujuh nyawa setakat ini, menurut Persatuan Bulan Sabit Merah Iraq (IRCS) pada Isnin.

DOHA: Kejadian tanah runtuh di makam Qattarat al-Imam Ali di bandar Karbala, Iraq meragut sekurang-kurangnya tujuh nyawa setakat ini, menurut Persatuan Bulan Sabit Merah Iraq (IRCS) pada Isnin.
“Tujuh mayat termasuk wanita dan kanak-kanak, ditemukan anggota penyelamat, manakala misi mencari mangsa hilang masih diteruskan,” lapor Sputnik memetik kenyataan IRCS.
Bulan Sabit Merah Iraq memaklumkan lebih 70 sukarelawan terlibat dalam usaha menyelamat mangsa yang terperangkap dalam kejadian itu.
“Setakat ini empat mangsa diselamatkan. Pasukan penyelamat bertungkus lumus untuk mencari mangsa yang masih selamat, dan operasi dilaksana dengan berhati-hati kerana bimbang berlaku lagi runtuhan,” menurut IRCS.
Pihak berkuasa Iraq memaklumkan pada Ahad bahawa seorang meninggal dunia akibat ditimpa siling.
Pasukan penyelamat menyelamatkan tiga kanak-kanak dari bawah runtuhan dan mangsa telah dihantar ke hospital, menurut pihak berkuasa pertahanan awam.
Perkhidmatan kecemasan Iraq turut menyediakan tangki oksigen, air minuman dan makanan kepada mangsa yang masih terperangkap. – AlHijrah Online
