ISTANBUL: Jurukamera Al Jazeera Samer Abu Daqqa yang cedera akibat serangan Israel di Khan Younis di selatan Semenanjung Gaza meninggal dunia pada Jumaat.
Samer cedera akibat terkena serpihan peluru dalam serangan Israel berhampiran Sekolah Ferkhane, lapor Agensi Anadolu memetik Al Jazeera.
Ketika kejadian mangsa yang mengalami pendarahan mencari perlindungan berhampiran Sekolah Ferkhane, malangnya ambulans tidak dibenarkan masuk kerana tempat itu kerana dikepung oleh tentera Israel selama beberapa jam.
Tiga petugas pertahanan awam yang cuba membantu Samer serta penduduk lain yang cedera dan terperangkap di sekolah itu turut maut, menurut maklumat daripada sumber tempatan.
Gambar-gambar Samer yang sempat dirakamnya berhampiran Sekolah Ferkhane tular di media sosial.
Beliau sempat mendoakan untuk kesihatan dan kesejahteraan semua rakan-rakan media.
Wartawan Al Jazeera, Wael ed-Dahduh, turut cedera semasa serangan tentera Israel berhampiran Sekolah Ferkhane yang menjadi tempat perlindungan penduduk Palestin yang hilang tempat tinggal di Khan Younis.
Wael yang cedera di tangan, lengan, bahu dan perut dibawa ke Hospital Al-Nasr di Khan Younis manakala sekolah tempat Samer mencari perlindungan dan kawasan sekitar sekolah itu dikepung oleh tentera Israel. –AlHijrah Online
