PAKISTAN: KORBAN SERANGAN PENGEBOM BUNUH DIRI MENINGKAT KEPADA 95 ORANG

ISLAMABAD: Angka kematian akibat pengebom bunuh diri di sebuah masjid di kawasan ibu pejabat polis di bandar barat laut Peshawar di Pakistan Isnin lepas meningkat kepada 95 orang, lapor Agensi Anadolu.
Ketua Polis wilayah Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Moazzam Jah Ansari berkata sejumlah 95 orang terbunuh dan 221 cedera dalam serangan maut itu.
Beliau berkata berdasarkan siasatan awal, kira-kira 10-12 kilogram bahan letupan digunakan dalam insiden itu.
Pada Isnin, seorang suspek meletupkan dirinya semasa solat zohor di masjid di kawasan ibu pejabat polis di Peshawar.
Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) menerusi laman sesawangnya menafikan terlibat dalam serangan itu.
Ansari berkata Jamat-ul-Ahrar, puak serpihan TTP, mungkin terlibat dalam insiden pengeboman yang disifatkan paling buruk dalam tempoh beberapa tahun kebelakangan ini.
“ISKP (Islamic State Khyber Pakhtunkhwa) juga mengaku bertanggungjawab atas serangan itu dan kami sedang menyiasat,” katanya.
Sementara itu, Kementerian Luar Afghanistan dalam satu kenyataan turut menyuarakan simpati kepada keluarga mangsa yang terkorban dan cedera.
India turut mengucapkan takziah kepada keluarga mangsa.
“Kami mengutuk sekeras-kerasnya serangan yang telah meragut nyawa ramai orang,” kata jurucakap Kementerian Luar India, Arindam Bagchi di Twitternya.
Seluruh wilayah Khyber Pakhtunkhwa akan berkabung pada Selasa dan bendera Pakistan akan dikibarkan separuh tiang.–AlHijrah Online
