RIYADH: Kementerian Haji dan Umrah Arab Saudi mengumumkan kebenaran kepada sejuta jemaah untuk menunaikan haji bagi musim 1443 hijrah / 2022 masihi.
Dalam satu kenyataan yang dipanjangkan kepada Alhijrah Online, Kementerian itu memaklumkan, bilangan jemaah kali ini berkurang berbanding sebelum pandemik melanda dua tahun lalu sebagai usaha mencegah penularan jangkitan COVID-19.
Antara syarat utama yang diletakkan kementerian itu adalah jemaah perlu berusia di bawah 65 tahun dan telah lengkap divaksinasi yang diluluskan pihak berkuasa Arab Saudi.
“Jemaah dari luar Arab Saudi mesti mengemukakan keputusan negatif ujian PCR yang dibuat dalam masa 72 jam sebelum berlepas ke negara itu”, menurut kenyataan itu.
Kementerian Haji dan Umrah Arab Saudi turut memaklumkan bilangan jemaah yang dibenarkan dari seluruh dunia masih bergantung kepada bilangan kuota yang diluluskan dan turut mengambil kira pematuhan kepada protokol kesihatan yang dikeluarkan Arab Saudi.
Sementara itu, Arab Saudi turut mengingatkan jemaah supaya sentiasa patuh kepada arahan kesihatan dan langkah-langkah keselamatan bagi memastikan situasi kesihatan jemaah sentiasa dalam keadaan baik terutama ketika menunaikan rukun Islam kelima itu. —Alhijrah Online
