SISTEM KESIHATAN GAZA DI BAWAH ANCAMAN SERIUS, WHO DESAK HENTIKAN SERANGAN KE ATAS HOSPITAL
Ketua Pengarah Pertubuhan Kesihatan Sedunia (WHO) Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus pada Isnin berkata bahawa “sistem kesihatan di Semenanjung Gaza berada dalam ancaman serius,” lapor Agensi Berita Palestin (WAFA).
RAMALLAH: Ketua Pengarah Pertubuhan Kesihatan Sedunia (WHO) Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus pada Isnin berkata bahawa “sistem kesihatan di Semenanjung Gaza berada dalam ancaman serius,” lapor Agensi Berita Palestin (WAFA).
“Hentikan serangan ke atas hospital. Penduduk Gaza memerlukan akses kepada rawatan kesihatan, dan petugas kemanusiaan memerlukan akses untuk memberikan bantuan kesihatan,” katanya.
Tedros turut mendedahkan bahawa Hospital Al-Ahli dan Hospital Pemulihan Al-Wafa di Bandar Gaza telah diserang oleh tentera Israel, menyebabkan kerosakan pada kedua-dua bangunan itu.
WHO dengan kerjasama rakan-rakannya, telah menghantar bekalan perubatan penting, makanan, dan air ke Hospital Indonesia.
Sepuluh pesakit dalam keadaan kritikal dipindahkan ke Hospital Al-Shifa, namun empat daripada mereka telah ditahan oleh tentera Israel semasa proses pemindahan.
Beliau mendesak pihak berkuasa penjajah untuk menghormati keperluan dan hak kesihatan para pesakit itu.
Selain itu, Tedros turut meminta pembebasan Pengarah Hospital Kamal Adwan, Dr Hussam Abu Safia.
Menurut Kementerian Kesihatan Palestin, sejak bermulanya pencerobohan pada 7 Okt 2023, kira-kira 1,060 petugas kesihatan di Semenanjung Gaza terbunuh, lebih 310 lagi ditahan, ratusan cedera, dan kira-kira 130 ambulans dimusnahkan.
Serangan ke atas infrastruktur perubatan telah menghalang orang awam daripada mendapatkan perkhidmatan kesihatan asas.
Pertubuhan-pertubuhan PBB juga memberi amaran bahawa jumlah bekalan perubatan yang memasuki Gaza tidak mencukupi untuk menyokong respons kesihatan. –AlHijrah Online
