ARAB SAUDI PERLUAS MECCA ROUTE KE ENAM NEGARA LAIN HASIL KEJAYAAN DI MALAYSIA – MOHD NA’IM
Kejayaan projek perintis “Mecca Route” yang dimulakan oleh kerajaan Arab Saudi di Malaysia pada 2017 membolehkan program itu diperluas ke enam negara lain, kata Menteri di Jabatan Perdana Menteri (Hal Ehwal Agama) Senator Datuk Dr Mohd Na’im Mokhtar.

SEPANG: Kejayaan projek perintis “Mecca Route” yang dimulakan oleh kerajaan Arab Saudi di Malaysia pada 2017 membolehkan program itu diperluas ke enam negara lain, kata Menteri di Jabatan Perdana Menteri (Hal Ehwal Agama) Senator Datuk Dr Mohd Na’im Mokhtar.
Beliau berkata program yang bertujuan memudah dan mempercepatkan urusan perjalanan jemaah haji itu kini turut dilaksanakan di Maghribi, Indonesia, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Ivory Coast dan Turkiye.
Ketika meninjau kaunter “Mecca Route” di Lapangan Terbang Antarabangsa Kuala Lumpur (KLIA) di sini hari ini, Mohd Na’im berkata melalui program itu, pegawai imigresen Arab Saudi yang berada di KLIA akan memeriksa pasport jemaah haji tanpa perlu lagi menunggu proses imigresen dan kastam apabila tiba di negara itu.
“Dahulu, bakal haji terpaksa menunggu sekitar empat hingga lima jam di imigresen, tetapi dengan adanya “Mecca Route” ini, seramai kira-kira 55 pegawai kerajaan Arab Saudi yang ditempatkan di sini selama sebulan untuk memudahkan perjalanan bakal haji.
“Selepas melepasi Imigresen Malaysia, mereka terus bergerak ke sini (kaunter Mecca Route) dan terus mendaftar dengan passport mereka, dalam kurang seminit sudah selesai,” katanya.
Mohd Na’im turut mengucapkan penghargaan kepada kerajaan Arab Saudi dan Raja Salman Abdul Aziz Al-Saud kerana meneruskan program Mecca Route di Malaysia.
Sementara itu, Duta Arab Saudi ke Malaysia, Mesaad Ibrahim Abdullah Al Sulaim, mengucapkan terima kasih kepada kerajaan Malaysia atas kerjasama menjayakan program berkenaan.
“Dengan kerjasama yang mantap ini, memudahkan program Mecca Route demi kemudahan dan kebajikan bakal haji,” katanya sambil mendoakan bakal haji Malaysia memperoleh haji yang mabrur.–AlHijrah Online
