KUALA LUMPUR: Beberapa jalan utama di ibu kota dinaiki air susulan hujan lebat selama kira-kira sejam sejak pukul 3 petang tadi.
Menurut laman Facebook Polis Kuala Lumpur antara jalan yang dinaiki air setakat pukul 4 petang tadi adalah Lebuhraya Sultan Iskandar dari arah Istana Negara ke Wisma Tani, Jalan Travers berhampiran Ibu Pejabat Polis Daerah Brickfields, Jalan Parlimen, Jalan Maharaja Lela berhampiran Bulatan Merdeka dan di Jalan Ampang.
“Air di beberapa jalan seperti Jalan Parlimen berhampiran Bank Rakyat, Jalan Maharaja Lela berhampiran Bulatan Merdeka, Jalan Travers telah mulai surut pada pukul 5 petang tadi dan kini boleh dilalui oleh semua kenderaan,” menurut laman itu.
Sementara itu Pusat Kawalan SMART Jabatan Pengairan dan Saliran melaporkan terowong SMART telah diaktifkan kepada Mod 2B pada pukul 4.28 petang tadi, dengan aliran air mula dilencongkan, namun terowong berkenaan masih dibuka untuk laluan trafik.
