Muniandy dipercayai jatuh ke dalam laut selepas anaknya menemukan motosikal, pakaian berupa kain sarung serta selipar milik Muniandy di hujung jeti kira-kira 11 pagi Jumaat lepas.
SHAH ALAM: Agensi Penguatkuasaan Maritim Malaysia (APMM) Selangor meneruskan operasi mencari dan menyelamat (SAR) seorang lelaki warga emas yang dipercayai terjatuh ke laut di Jeti Awam Tanjung Sepat, Kuala Langat, semalam.
Pengarahnya Kepten Maritim V.Siva Kumar berkata usaha mengesan S.Muniandy, 63, yang memasuki hari kedua bersambung pada 7 pagi tadi dengan dikoordinasikan Pusat Penyelaras Mencari dan Menyelamat Maritim (MRSC) Johor Bahru.
Beliau berkata operasi turut dibantu Jabatan Bomba dan Penyelamat Malaysia (JBPM), Angkatan Pertahanan Awam Malaysia (APM) serta komuniti nelayan setempat.
Siva Kumar berkata operasi itu mula diaktifkan pada 7.30 malam tadi dengan mengatur gerak bot PERKASA 36.
“Pihak APMM Selangor turut menubuhkan Pangkalan Hadapan Carilamat (PHC) di Jeti Maritim Awam Tanjung Sepat hari ini dan menghantar bantuan di darat untuk pemantauan sekitar lokasi kejadian di pesisir pantai Tanjung Sepat,” katanya dalam kenyataan hari ini.
Menurut Siva Kumar, Muniandy, dipercayai jatuh ke dalam laut selepas anaknya menemukan motosikal, pakaian berupa kain sarung serta selipar milik Muniandy di hujung jeti kira-kira 11 pagi Jumaat lepas.
Beliau berkata Muniandy yang bekerja sebagai penimbang kelapa sawit kali terakhir dilihat memakai baju kemeja biru muda dan berseluar pendek warna coklat sebelum dilaporkan hilang di jeti berkenaan.
