KUALA LUMPUR: Cukai jalan dan insurans kenderaan tamat tempoh punca sebuah motosikal penunggang p-hailing disita, kata Jabatan Pengangkutan Jalan Malaysia (JPJ).
JPJ dalam satu komen di hantaran Facebook berkata, kenderaan p-hailing itu sudah tamat tempoh sejak bulan Februari 2023.
“Lesen Kenderaan Motor (LKM) telah tamat tempoh dan insurans tiada oleh itu JPJ sita kenderaan terbabit bagi mengelakkan permasalahan kepada pemandu terbabit jika berlaku kemalangan.
“Jika berlaku kemalangan, ia akan menyukarkan pemandu lain dan keluarga kelak,” kata JPJ ringkas di Facebook.
Terdahulu tular video memaparkan seorang penunggang p-hailing terpaksa berjalan kaki sambil menggalas beg penghantaran makanan selepas motosikalnya disita JPJ.
Lelaki itu dilihat berjalan dengan topi keledar masih di kepalanya dalam keadaan cuaca panas.
Motosikalnya dipercayai disita Jabatan Pengangkutan Jalan, di Nilai, Negeri Sembilan.
Sebagai rekod, JPJ akan menyita penunggang motosikal yang didapati melanggar kesalahan jalan raya di bawah Seksyen 64 Akta Pengangkutan Jalan 1987, antaranya tiada lesen memandu, Lesen Kenderaan Motor (LKM) tamat tempoh dan menunggang motosikal secara berbahaya.–AlHijrah Online
