LEBIH 37,000 NOTIS KESALAHAN MEROKOK DIKELUARKAN SETAKAT 31 MAC – KKM
Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia (KKM) telah mengeluarkan 37,381 notis atas pelbagai kesalahan di bawah Akta Kawalan Produk Merokok Demi Kesihatan Awam 2024 (Akta 852) sejak dikuatkuasakan 1 Okt 2024 hingga 31 Mac lepas.
KUALA TERENGGANU: Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia (KKM) telah mengeluarkan 37,381 notis atas pelbagai kesalahan di bawah Akta Kawalan Produk Merokok Demi Kesihatan Awam 2024 (Akta 852) sejak dikuatkuasakan 1 Okt 2024 hingga 31 Mac lepas.
Timbalan Ketua Pengarah Kesihatan (Kesihatan Awam) Datuk Dr Norhayati Rusli berkata jumlah itu direkodkan hasil daripada 10,212 operasi yang dijalankan di seluruh negara.
Beliau berkata sebanyak 116 kes telah dibawa ke mahkamah melibatkan kesalahan di bawah Seksyen 7(1) Larangan Pengiklanan Produk Tembakau, Seksyen 9(1) Larangan Promosi atau Tajaan Produk Tembakau, Seksyen 10(1) Larangan Penjualan Produk Tembakau, Seksyen 11(1) Larangan Penjualan Produk Tembakau Tiruan dan Seksyen 12(1) Larangan Produk Tembakau Sebagai Pemberian Hadiah.
“Dalam tempoh itu juga, KKM telah menyita 11,563 produk merokok bernilai RM266,833.10.
“KKM telah melaksanakan penguatkuasaan pendidikan kepada 206,657 individu yang mempunyai kaitan dengan jualan rokok bagi memastikan mereka memahami dan mematuhi penguatkuasaan Akta 852,” katanya pada Majlis Pelancaran Op Cakna Penguatkuasaan Undang-Undang Kesihatan Awam Siri 2/2025 di sini, semalam.
Turut hadir Pengarah Jabatan Kesihatan Negeri Terengganu Datuk Dr Kasemani Embong.
Dr Norhayati berkata KKM memandang serius kesalahan merokok di premis yang telah diwartakan sebagai kawasan larangan sekali gus akan memperhebat operasi berkaitan di seluruh negara tahun ini.–AlHijrah Online
