OPR NAIK DORONG KERAJAAN URUS PERBELANJAAN SECARA BERHEMAT
PUTRAJAYA: Keputusan Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) menaikkan Kadar Dasar Semalaman (OPR) akan mendorong kerajaan menguruskan perbelanjaan negara secara berhemat, kata Menteri Ekonomi Rafizi Ramli.

PUTRAJAYA: Keputusan Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) menaikkan Kadar Dasar Semalaman (OPR) akan mendorong kerajaan menguruskan perbelanjaan negara secara berhemat, kata Menteri Ekonomi Rafizi Ramli.
“Kalau OPR naik, secara tidak langsung ia akan memaksa kerajaan untuk berbelanja dengan baik dan secara berhemat kerana kos untuk berhutang lebih tinggi,” katanya mengulas mengenai keputusan BNM menaikkan OPR sebanyak 25 mata asas kepada tiga peratus pada Rabu lepas hari ini.
Ditemui pemberita pada Majlis Sambutan Hari Raya Aidilfitri anjuran Kementerian Ekonomi di sini, Rafizi berkata antara instrumen untuk mengawal aliran kewangan dalam ekonomi ialah dengan menaikkan kadar OPR.
Mengakui peningkatan OPR mempunyai kesan terhadap kos sara hidup rakyat, beliau bagaimanapun berkata ia perlu dilihat secara keseluruhan antaranya dari segi pengukuhan mata wang negara.
“Kalau kita tidak sesuaikan kadar (OPR) kita dengan pasaran dunia, ia akan membawa kesan lain seperti risiko dana atau portfolio pelaburan keluar yang akhirnya melemahkan mata wang negara dan mengurangkan pelaburan,” katanya. — AlHijrah Online
