POLIS TERIMA DUA LAPORAN BERHUBUNG PENGANIAYAAN KUCING
Polis mengesahkan menerima dua laporan polis berhubung dakwaan penganiayaan terhadap seekor kucing di Medan Selera Pasar Lebuh Cecil, Georgetown yang turut tular di media sosial sejak semalam.

Ketua Polis Daerah Timur Laut ACP Abdul Rozak Muhammad berkata, polis menerima laporan pertama dibuat seorang wanita tempatan berusia 20 tahun pada 4.05 petang Khamis, yang mendakwa melihat seorang peniaga makanan mencekik seekor kucing pada 8 pagi hari yang sama.
”Susulan laporan polis dan dakwaan tersebut, seorang lelaki tempatan berusia 55 tahun yang juga peniaga makanan di lokasi tersebut turut tampil membuat laporan polis semalam bagi menafikan tuduhan dilemparkan terhadapnya,” katanya dalam kenyataan hari ini.
Beliau berkata pihak polis telah menjalankan siasatan awal dan kes tersebut telah diklasifikasikan sebagai Rujuk Lain Agensi (RLA) kepada pihak Majlis Bandaraya Pulau Pinang (MBPP) untuk tindakan lanjut.
Terdahulu tular di media sosial mengenai seorang wanita yang mendakwa seorang peniaga di Medan Selera Pasar Lebuh Cecil telah bertindak mengasari kucing dengan mencekik haiwan itu.
Insiden itu mendapat perhatian meluas di media sosial dan mengundang reaksi daripada orang ramai serta pencinta haiwan yang menggesa siasatan oleh pihak berkuasa dijalankan terhadap kejadian tersebut. —AlHijrah Online
