KUALA LUMPUR: Polis menahan seorang lelaki bagi membantu siasatan kes serangan terhadap wartawan sukan dan Timbalan Presiden Kelab Akhbar Kebangsaan (NPC) Haresh Deol, di Bangsar semalam.
Ketua Polis Daerah Brickfields ACP Hoo Chang Hook berkata suspek, seorang lelaki tempatan berusia 37 tahun, ditahan di rumahnya di Cheras oleh sepasukan Jabatan Siasatan Jenayah (JSJ) Ibu Pejabat Polis Daerah (IPD) Brickfields kira-kira 2 pagi tadi.
“Permohonan reman ke atas suspek dibenarkan selama tiga hari sehingga Jumaat ini oleh Majistret Kuala Lumpur,” katanya dalam kenyataan ringkas hari ini.
Beliau berkata siasatan lanjut sedang dijalankan untuk mengenal pasti motif kejadian.
Semalam, Hoo dilaporkan berkata pihaknya sedang mengesan tiga lelaki dipercayai terlibat dalam kejadian serangan itu yang mengakibatkan mangsa mengalami kecederaan pada muka, tangan dan badan selepas terjatuh ketika cuba menyelamatkan diri.
Haresh yang juga pengasas bersama portal TwentyTwo13 membuat laporan polis pada 4 petang hari sama dan kes disiasat mengikut Seksyen 323 Kanun Keseksaan.
