LEBIH 50,000 PELARIAN SYRIA PULANG DARI NEGARA JIRAN DALAM TEMPOH 3 MINGGU – PBB
Lebih 50,000 pelarian telah pulang ke Syria dari negara jiran dalam tempoh tiga minggu berikutan kejatuhan rejim Assad, menurut Pertubuhan Bangsa-Bangsa Bersatu (PBB) pada Khamis, lapor Agensi Anadolu (AA).
ISTANBUL: Lebih 50,000 pelarian telah pulang ke Syria dari negara jiran dalam tempoh tiga minggu berikutan kejatuhan rejim Assad, menurut Pertubuhan Bangsa-Bangsa Bersatu (PBB) pada Khamis, lapor Agensi Anadolu (AA).
Pesuruhjaya Tinggi PBB bagi Pelarian Filippo Grandi menerusi hantaran di platform X menyatakan bahawa bilangan pelarian Syria yang kembali ke kediaman mereka “meningkat perlahan-lahan.”
“Keadaan material di dalam Syria masih teruk – lebih banyak bantuan kemanusiaan dan pemulihan perlu disalurkan kepada mereka yang pulang dan semua pihak yang memerlukan,” kata Grandi.
Bashar Assad, pemimpin Syria selama hampir 25 tahun, melarikan diri ke Rusia selepas kumpulan anti-rejim mengambil alih ibu kota Damsyik pada 8 Disember, menamatkan pemerintahan Parti Baath yang berkuasa sejak 1963.
Pengambilalihan itu berlaku selepas pejuang Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) menawan bandar utama dalam satu serangan kilat yang berlangsung kurang dari dua minggu. –AlHijrah Online
