POLIS SIASAT CUBAAN ANJUR PROGRAM LGBT DI PETALING JAYA
Ketua Polis Selangor Datuk Hussein Omar Khan berkata pihaknya mengesan satu hantaran media sosial dipercayai dimuat naik sayap pemuda sebuah parti politik yang merancang menganjurkan program berkenaan.
SHAH ALAM: Polis sedang menyiasat cubaan menganjurkan satu program berkaitan lesbian, gay, biseksual dan transgender (LGBT) yang dipercayai dirancang berlangsung di lokasi tidak diketahui di sekitar Petaling Jaya pada 21 Jun ini.
Ketua Polis Selangor Datuk Hussein Omar Khan berkata pihaknya mengesan satu hantaran media sosial dipercayai dimuat naik sayap pemuda sebuah parti politik yang merancang menganjurkan program berkenaan.
Setakat ini, polis menerima 21 laporan daripada pertubuhan bukan kerajaan (NGO) dan orang awam yang membantah program itu, melibatkan 11 Ibu Pejabat Polis Daerah (IPD).
“Siasatan dijalankan mengikut Seksyen 298A Kanun Keseksaan dan Seksyen 233 Akta Komunikasi dan Multimedia 1998 oleh Unit Siasatan Jenayah Terkelas (USJT), Jabatan Siasatan Jenayah (JSJ) Bukit Aman,” katanya dalam kenyataan, hari ini.
Beliau turut menasihatkan orang ramai supaya tidak menyertai program yang disifatkan bertentangan dengan sensitiviti rakyat serta bercanggah dengan undang-undang negara, yang tidak mengiktiraf sebarang bentuk amalan LGBT.
Katanya tindakan tegas boleh diambil terhadap mana-mana pihak yang berdegil, mengikut Seksyen 298A dan Seksyen 505(c) Kanun Keseksaan, serta Seksyen 233 Akta Komunikasi dan Multimedia 1998.
“Polis akan terus memantau perkembangan ini dan mengambil tindakan sewajarnya untuk memastikan ketenteraman awam dan mematuhi undang-undang negara,” katanya.–AlHijrah Online
