KUALA LUMPUR: Syarikat korporat dialu-alukan untuk terlibat bersama-sama Pusat Pungutan Zakat Majlis Agama Islam Wilayah Persekutuan (PPZ-MAIWP) dalam program pengagihan zakat dan sumbangan kepada golongan asnaf.
Menteri di Jabatan Perdana Menteri (Hal Ehwal Agama) Datuk Dr Mohd Na’im Mokhtar berkata kerjasama antara PPZ-MAIWP dengan badan korporat akan memudahkan pengagihan zakat, selain dapat meyakinkan mereka mengenai kaedah yang digunakan.
“Saya mengajak syarikat lain untuk mencontohi langkah FGV Holdings Berhad (FGV) yang bekerjasama dengan PPZ-MAIWP bagi memastikan duit zakat itu benar-benar sampai kepada penerima, itu yang paling utama,” katanya kepada media selepas merasmikan Majlis Ziarah Kasih PPZ-MAIWP dan FGV di sini hari ini.
Dalam majlis itu, Mohd Na’im mewakili PPZ-MAIWP menerima penyerahan zakat perniagaan berjumlah RM3.45 juta bagi haul 2024 daripada FGV.
FGV turut menyerahkan sumbangan tunai dan barangan bernilai RM125,000 kepada 500 asnaf di sekitar Taman Wahyu 2 di sini.
Turut hadir, Pengerusi FGV Tan Sri Rastam Mohd Isa, Pengerusi PPZ-MAIWP Datuk Seri Amrin Awaluddin dan Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif Kumpulan FGV Fakhrunniam Othman. –AlHijrah Online
