PUTRAJAYA: Orang ramai sewajarnya menyambut baik usaha kerajaan untuk membantu merawat rakyat Palestin yang cedera di Malaysia.
Menteri di Jabatan Perdana Menteri (Hal Ehwal Agama) Datuk Dr Mohd Na’im Mokhtar berkata usaha murni seperti itu tidak sepatutnya dipersoal, malah lebih menyedihkan ada yang sanggup menggunakan perkataan yang kurang sopan terhadap perkara itu.
“Usaha kerajaan bukan sekadar membawa rakyat Palestin yang cedera disebabkan kezaliman Israel, tetapi banyak juga usaha dilakukan di peringkat antarabangsa untuk mengembalikan keamanan di Palestin.
“Peranan dimainkan Malaysia ini menggambarkan keprihatinan Perdana Menteri Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim dan sepatutnya kita rakyat Malaysia bersatu padu dan memberikan sokongan,” katanya selepas merasmikan Program Larian JAWI 2.0 di Putrajaya hari ini.
Semalam perdana menteri menyatakan kekesalannya atas sikap sesetengah pihak yang mengecam dan mengkritik langkah kerajaan membawa rakyat Palestin yang cedera untuk dirawat di negara ini.
Kritikan tersebut termasuk mencerca usaha murni berkenaan, sedangkan ia tanggungjawab kecil dilakukan atas dasar belas kasihan dan ihsan terhadap rakyat Palestin.
Malaysia menjadi negara pertama di Asia membawa pulang rakyat Palestin yang cedera untuk diberikan rawatan. — AlHijrah Online
