630,000 PEK MAKANAN IFTAR RAHMAH RAMADAN PERCUMA UNTUK GOLONGAN MEMERLUKAN
Datuk Dr Naim Mokhtar berkata, program yang berkonsepkan ‘soup kitchen’ ini berpusat di 70 buah masjid dan surau di Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya dan Labuan.
KUALA LUMPUR: Sebanyak 630,000 pek makanan akan diedarkan sepanjang Program Iftar Rahmah Ramadan 1444 Hijrah yang dianjurkan Jabatan Agama Islam Wilayah Persekutuan (JAWI) untuk membantu masyarakat yang memerlukan.
Menteri Di Jabatan Perdana Menteri Hal Ehwal Agama, Datuk Dr Naim Mokhtar berkata, program yang berkonsepkan ‘soup kitchen’ ini berpusat di 70 buah masjid dan surau di Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya dan Labuan.
Menurutnya, petugas masjid dan surau akan memasak juadah berbuka puasa secara gotong royong dan akan diagihkan kepada golongan sasaran termasuk penduduk projek perumahan rakyat, B40, asnaf, petugas barisan hadapan dan golongan yang memerlukan.
“Dengan peruntukan sebanyak RM4 juta dari Majlis Agama Islam Wilayah Persekutuan (MAIWP), sebanyak 21,000 pek makanan sehari akan diagihkan dan jumlah keseluruhan untuk sepanjang bulan Ramadan ini sebanyak 630,000 pek,” katanya ketika ditemui pada Majlis Pelancaran Iftar Rahmah Ramadan Di Masjid An-Najihin Bandar Seri Permaisuri, di sini hari ini.
Pada majlis sama, Mohd Naim turut menyampaikan sumbangan bakul makanan berupa barangan dapur dan wang tunai kepada 200 asnaf dengan nilai keseluruhan sumbangan berjumlah RM30,000.
Tambahnya, beliau mahu agensi Islam terus agresif membantu masyarakat khususnya dalam bulan Ramadan ini.
