KUALA LUMPUR: Delegasi
Mahkamah Syariah Wilayah Persekutuan (MSWP) dan Jabatan Kehakiman Syariah
Malaysia (JKSM) kini mengadakan lawatan kerja lima hari ke Sydney, Australia,
bermula 22 September lalu.
Lawatan kerja delegasi badan kehakiman syariah Malaysia yang diketuai Ketua Pengarah merangkap Ketua Hakim Syarie JKSM, Datuk Dr Mohd Na’im Mokhtar antara lain bertujuan memahami proses undang-undang keluarga dan peranan Mahkamah Keluarga Australia, mempelajari sistem sokongan kanak-kanak dan mendapatkan amalan terbaik bagi menangani kes-kes kekeluargaan.

MSWP merangkap jurucakap delegasi itu, Muhammad Khairul Nizzam Kassim berkata,
delegasi dibawa melawat dan melihat dengan lebih dekat proses pengendalian
kes-kes kekeluargaan di Mahkamah Keluarga Australia bermula dari pendaftaran
kes sehingga prosiding rayuan.
“Lawatan ini dijangka akan memberikan input dan amalan terbaik bagi pelaksanaan Program Pengkhususan Pengendalian Kes Hadhanah (Penjagaan Anak) dan Nafkah serta Pewujudan Bahagian Penguatkuasaan dan Pelaksanaan di MSWP yang telah mula beroperasi (Satu (1) Dewan MRS Bahagian Nafkah) pada 3 September lalu,” katanya kepada AlHjirah Online ketika dihubungi di Sydney hari ini.
Dalam lawatan itu Hakim Mahkamah Keluarga Australia, Judith Ryan juga mengucapkan tahniah kepada Malaysia yang akan mempunyai Mahkamah Khusus untuk Kes Hadhanah dan Nafkah.
Kedua-dua pihak juga akan menandatangani MOU untuk kerjasama di antara hakim bagi bertukar pandangan mengenai undang-undang keluarga.
Turut serta dalam lawatan kerja itu Setiausaha Politik kepada Datuk Seri Dr Mujahid Yusof Rawa, Abang Ahmad Kerdee Abang Masagus; Ketua Hakim Syarie MSWP, Ibrahim Deris; Hakim Mahkamah Rendah Syariah MSWP, Abdullah Zuhdee Ab Halim; Penolong Pendaftar MSWP, Ira Kartini Chairullah dan Penolong Pegawai Teknologi Maklumat, Che Dewi Suhana Che Zainal Abidin.
Mereka turut melawat Relationships Australia Family Relationship Centre, New South Wales (NSW) Local Court, NSW District Court, Legal Aid NSW, The Shopfront Youth Legal Service, The Muslim Legal Network, Child Support Agency dan The Judicial Commission of NSW. – AlHijrah Online
