ELAK DITAHAN POLIS, ALZA BAWA PATI REMPUH PALANG TOL
Satu kegiatan penyeludupan pendatang asing tanpa izin (PATI) berjaya ditumpaskan selepas polis menahan kenderaan Perodua Alza yang dipandu dalam keadaan mencurigakan, di Kilometer 29 Jalan Kuala Lumpur-Lanchang, semalam.
PETALING JAYA: Satu kegiatan penyeludupan pendatang asing tanpa izin (PATI) berjaya ditumpaskan selepas polis menahan kenderaan Perodua Alza yang dipandu dalam keadaan mencurigakan, di Kilometer 29 Jalan Kuala Lumpur-Lanchang, semalam.
Kegiatan tersebut dikesan semasa rondaan pasukan peronda Jabatan Siasatan dan Penguatkuasaan Trafik (JSPT) Bukit Aman kira-kira jam 8 pagi.
Pengarah JSPT Bukit Aman, Datuk Seri Mat Kasim Karim berkata, pemandu Perodua Alza tersebut telah bertindak memecut menghala ke Tol Gombak ketika hendak ditahan pihak berkuasa.
Pemandu itu juga merempuh palang tol dan berlaku aksi kejar mengejar hingga ke Lebuh Raya Lingkaran Tengah 2 (MRR2) sebelum suspek ditahan.
“Pemeriksaan berjaya menahan pemandu lelaki tempatan serta 11 PATI.
“Kesemua tangkapan telah dibawa ke Ibu Pejabat Polis Daerah (IPD) Petaling Jaya untuk siasatan di Seksyen 4(5) Akta Kesalahan Keselamatan (Langkah-langkah Khas) 2012 (SOSMA) serta Seksyen 51(5)(b) Akta Imigresen (pindaan) 2002 (Akta 155),” katanya seperti dilapor media tempatan.
Menurut sumber, suspek merupakan lelaki tempatan berperanan sebagai ‘transporter’ dan kesemua PATI termasuk seorang wanita yang berusia 15 hingga 35 tahun adalah warga Myanmar.
Difahamkan siasatan awal mendapati migran terbabit masuk ke Malaysia melalui Rantau Panjang, Kelantan dan dibawa ke Kuala Lumpur untuk bekerja di sekitar Chow Kit.—AlHijrah Online
