KUALA LUMPUR: Polis membuka dua kertas siasatan terhadap dua individu berhubung kenyataan mereka berkaitan Majlis Kebangsaan Hal Ehwal Agama Islam Malaysia.
Pengarah Jabatan Siasatan Jenayah (JSJ) Bukit Aman Datuk Seri Mohd Shuhaily Mohd Zain berkata kes berkenaan disiasat oleh Unit Siasatan Jenayah Terkelas, Bahagian Pendakwaan/Undang-Undang (D5) JSJ di bawah Seksyen 4 (1) Akta Hasutan 1948 dan Seksyen 4 Akta Komunikasi dan Multimedia 1998.
Mohd Shuhaily berkata memandangkan kes terbabit masih dalam siasatan, beliau menasihati orang ramai supaya tidak membuat sebarang spekulasi yang boleh mengganggu proses siasatan itu.
“Polis mengingatkan kepada orang ramai agar cakna dan prihatin terhadap isu-isu sensitif terutamannya melibatkan kegentaran awam serta keselamatan negara,” katanya dalam kenyataan hari ini.
Sebelum ini, Ahli Parlimen Beruas Datuk Ngeh Koo Ham dilapor mencadangkan supaya kerajaan melantik pakar daripada orang bukan Islam untuk membantu Jawatankuasa Khas Mengkaji Kompetensi Dewan Undangan Negeri Untuk Menggubal Undang-Undang Islam. –AlHijrah Online
