ISTANBUL: Dua gempa bumi kuat yang menggegarkan Turkiye baru-baru ini telah merosakkan 84,726 bangunan, lapor dpa pada Jumaat.
Menteri Perancangan Bandar Turkiye Murat Kurum berkata lebih 7,000 petugas telah terlibat untuk menjalankan pemeriksaan dan menilai kerosakan bangunan yang terdapat di 11 wilayah.
Bangunan yang rosak perlu dirobohkan segera dan menasihatkan penduduk untuk tidak berada berdekatan dengan bangunan yang telah dikenal pasti itu, katanya kepada pemberita pada Jumaat.
Beliau berkata kerajaan akan memulakan usaha pembinaan semula di beberapa bandar yang terjejas teruk mulai Mac dan berikrar projek pembinaan kediaman yang baharu akan dimulakan selepas kajian teliti dilakukan.
Pihak berkuasa Turki telah menerima kecaman hebat kerana didakwa gagal menguatkuasakan peraturan projek pembinaan yang mungkin menyumbang kepada angka korban yang tinggi.
Susulan itu, lebih 50 orang termasuk kontraktor pembinaan telah ditahan, lapor Agensi Anadolu. –AlHijrah Online
