IPOH: Tindakan ikhlas seorang lelaki memberi wang tunai kepada kanak-kanak berusia lima tahun telah disalah erti sebagai mahu menculik kanak-kanak tersebut.
Ketua Polis Daerah Ipoh ACP Abang Zainal Abidin Abang Ahmad berkata insiden yang berlaku di Chemor pada Rabu lepas itu membawa kepada tindakan rakaman percakapan lelaki berusia 35 tahun itu untuk siasatan lanjut.
“Hasil siasatan terperinci mendapati ibu kepada kanak-kanak itu telah salah faham terhadap perbuatan suspek yang menghampiri dan memberikan wang tunai kepada mangsa.
“Suspek merupakan seorang lelaki warga tempatan bekerja sebagai kontraktor dan hasil semakan rekod jenayah mendapati tiada sebarang rekod jenayah lampau,” katanya dalam kenyataan hari ini.
Beliau berkata oleh itu polis menafikan berlaku kejadian cubaan menculik sebagaimana yang telah dilaporkan di daerah Ipoh. — AlHijrah Online
