PIHAK PERUBATAN, DOKTOR PAKAR BERPUAS HATI DENGAN TAHAP KEMAJUAN PEMULIHAN TUN MAHATHIR
Pihak perubatan dan doktor pakar yang merawat bekas Perdana Menteri Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, berpuas hati dengan tahap kemajuan proses pemulihan dan rawatan selepas 14 hari beliau dimasukkan ke Institut Jantung Negara (IJN).
KUALA LUMPUR: Pihak perubatan dan doktor pakar yang merawat bekas Perdana Menteri Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, berpuas hati dengan tahap kemajuan proses pemulihan dan rawatan selepas 14 hari beliau dimasukkan ke Institut Jantung Negara (IJN).
Setiausaha Akhbar Dr Mahathir, Sufi Yusoff, menerusi kenyataan hari ini memaklumkan bahawa beliau masih menerima rawatan fisioterapi tanpa pembedahan.
“Bagaimanapun, proses pemulihan secara fisioterapi ini tetap dijangka mengambil masa yang agak panjang,” katanya.
Sementara itu, Sufi memaklumkan Dr Mahathir dan keluarga mengucapkan terima kasih kepada semua pihak yang bertanyakan keadaan kesihatan beliau serta mendoakan beliau cepat pulih.
Menurut kenyataan itu, pihak keluarga tokoh berkenaan turut memohon maaf memandangkan atas nasihat pakar perubatan, buat masa ini ziarah hanya terhad kepada keluarga.
Negarawan berusia 100 tahun itu dimasukkan ke IJN pada 6 Jan lepas selepas dilaporkan terjatuh di kediamannya di The Mines, Seri Kembangan, dan disahkan mengalami patah tulang pinggul kanan.
Beliau kemudiannya menjalani rawatan fisioterapi tanpa pembedahan setelah perbincangan bersama doktor pakar daripada IJN, Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz dan Hospital Kuala Lumpur yang memutuskan rawatan berkenaan sebagai pilihan terbaik.–AlHijrah Online
