HOSPITAL DI SEMENANJUNG GAZA “PADA TAHAP KRITIKAL” – WHO

ISTANBUL: Sistem kesihatan di Semenanjung Gaza kini berada “pada tahap yang kritikal,” menurut Pertubuhan Kesihatan Sedunia (WHO) pada Khamis.
“Masa semakin suntuk dan malapetaka kemanusiaan mungkin sukar dielakkan jika bekalan bahan api dan bekalan ubat-ubatan, serta kemanusiaan tidak dapat dihantar dengan segera ke Semenanjung Gaza ekoran sekatan.
“Setiap hari hospital hanya mempunyai bekalan elektrik untuk tempoh beberapa jam kerana terpaksa mencatu bekalan.
“Apabila kecederaan dan kematian terus meningkat akibat serangan udara yang berterusan di Semenanjung Gaza, kekurangan bekalan bertambah serius, membataskan kapasiti tindak balas hospital yang sudah terbeban merawat pesakit,” lapor Agensi Anadolu memetik kenyataan agensi itu.
WHO bersedia untuk segera menghantar bekalan penting dan kesihatan asas melalui pusat logistiknya di Dubai dan bekerjasama dengan rakan kongsi untuk memastikan bekalan itu dapat sampai ke Semenanjung Gaza. –AlHijrah Online
