PETALING JAYA: Siasatan peringkat akhir kejadian kebakaran Wisma Jakel di Seksyen 7, Shah Alam dekat sini mendapati tiada sebarang unsur jenayah, kata Timbalan Pengarah Jabatan Bomba dan Penyelamat Malaysia (JBPM) Selangor Wan Md Razali Wan Ismail.
“Siasatan kebakaran Wisma Jakel kini sudah masuk peringkat akhir dan tiada unsur-unsur jenayah dikesan pada peringkat ini, kita yakin dapat siapkan siasatan dalam masa terdekat,” katanya kepada pemberita semasa Kempen Keselamatan Kebakaran Musim Perayaan Tahun Baharu Cina di sebuah pusat beli-belah di Damansara, di sini hari ini.
Media sebelum ini melaporkan gedung tekstil terkemuka itu terbakar dua kali pada 1 dan 3 Jan lepas membabitkan anggaran kerugian hampir RM100 juta.
Mengulas mengenai kempen berkenaan, beliau berkata pihaknya melakukan pemeriksaan mengejut di premis dan lokasi tumpuan awam bagi memastikan ia selamat daripada sebarang risiko kebakaran.
“Sehingga semalam (17 Jan) kami telah memeriksa 28 premis di seluruh Selangor,” katanya.
Dalam pada itu, Wan Md Razali turut menasihati orang ramai yang ingin pulang ke kampung sempena musim perayaan ini agar memastikan rumah ditinggalkan dalam keadaan selamat, kenderaan telah diselenggara, mendapat rehat yang cukup dan merancang perjalanan terlebih dahulu.
