Pasangan suami isteri maut selepas kereta dinaiki mereka terbabit dalam kemalangan melibatkan tiga kenderaan di Jalan Seremban–Kuala Pilah (Bukit Putus) pada 6.45 petang semalam.

Ketua Polis Daerah Seremban ACP Mohamad Hatta Che Din berkata siasatan awal mendapati kemalangan berlaku apabila sebuah kereta jenis Proton Exora dipandu seorang lelaki berumur 22 tahun sedang bergerak dari Seremban menuju ke Kuala Pilah dipercayai gagal mengawal kenderaan lalu masuk ke laluan bertentangan sebelum melanggar kereta Perodua Kancil dan Perodua Axia.
“Akibat pelanggaran itu, kesemua kenderaan terbabit terbabas ke penghadang besi sebelah kiri jalan arah ke Seremban.
“Pasangan suami isteri berusia lingkungan 50-an yang menaiki Perodua Axia mengalami kecederaan parah di bahagian kepala. Seorang disahkan maut di lokasi kejadian manakala seorang lagi meninggal dunia semasa menerima rawatan di Zon Kecemasan Hospital Tuanku Ja’afar,” katanya dalam kenyataan di sini hari ini.
Beliau berkata pemandu Proton Exora yang memandu sendirian patah di kedua-dua belah kaki manakala kesemua pemandu dan penumpang Perodua Kancil hanya mengalami kecederaan ringan.
Mohammad Hatta berkata mayat kedua-dua mangsa dibawa ke Jabatan Forensik Hospital Rembau untuk dibedah siasat dan kes disiasat di bawah Seksyen 41(1) Akta Pengangkutan Jalan (APJ) 1987. –AlHijrah Online
