ULAMA POLITIK JANGAN SUKA-SUKA TUKAR FATWA – AHMAD ZAHID

KUALA LUMPUR: Timbalan Perdana Menteri Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi menasihati golongan ulama politik supaya tidak sesuka hati menukar hukum dan fatwa agama.
Ahmad Zahid berkata tindakan itu, boleh menyebabkan golongan tersebut tidak dihormati rakyat dan umat Islam sendiri.
“Kalau dia buat, sedekah. Kalau kita (buat) panggil rasuah. Ulama ini jangan tukar-tukar hukumlah, jangan tukar fatwalah. Akhirnya ulama politik tidak dihormati oleh rakyat dan orang Islam,” katanya ketika ditemui media selepas menghadiri Majlis Rumah Terbuka Tahun Baharu Cina MCA di sini hari ini.
Beliau berkata demikian ketika diminta mengulas pendirian PAS Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang, yang mempertahankan pemberian wang tunai sewaktu kempen pilihan raya yang dikatakan tidak menyalahi peraturan, kerana mendakwa ia sedekah kepada pengundi oleh orang awam.
Kenyataan Abdul Hadi itu susulan tindakan UMNO Terengganu yang memfailkan petisyen bagi kerusi Parlimen Marang, Kuala Terengganu dan Kemaman, dengan alasan wujud rasuah kepada pengundi di ketiga-tiga kerusi terbabit ketika kempen Pilihan Raya Umum Ke-15 (PRU-15).
Ahmad Zahid yang juga Pengerusi Barisan Nasional (BN) dan Presiden UMNO berkata sebagai ulama, golongan itu perlu berintegriti dan menjadi contoh yang baik kepada masyarakat. –AlHijrah Online
